January 31st edition of The Times lists the top 7 scenic bus routes.
Catch the X53 (First Bus) from Axminster to Weymouth along the World Heritage Jurassic at the bus stop just 3 minutes from us. A great day out going through Lyme Regis, Bridport and numerous picturesque villages, ending the journey at the seaside in Weymouth.
The X53 Axminster to Weymouth, Dorset
This exhilarating two-hour journey takes a mostly coastal route via Lyme Regis and Burton Bradstock, cruising over rollercoaster downs with sea views and squeezing through honey-stoned streets. On the top deck you are level with straw animals on thatched cottage roofs and can peer into gardens full of Spanish daisies. The bus rolls over a headland to reveal the hilltop St Catherine’s Chapel in Abbotsbury, backed by Fleet Lagoon.
